At Södra Cell, we offer a wide range of products in paper and dissolving pulp, created based on our customers' needs and with a sustainable society as a guideline. Through innovations and efficiencies, we ensure that our renewable raw material is used as climate-smart as possible. In the world-unique OnceMore process, we have also enabled circular flows in the textile industry – all thanks to the forest.

As one of our current employees is absent for an extended period, we now offer a unique opportunity to step into a varied role, where you will have the chance to contribute to our future sustainability journey together with our customers.

This is what you will work on at Södra

We are now looking for a summer intern to work on comparing the environmental performance of Södra mills with our competitors by gathering and analyzing data from websites and other information sources. Your main task will be to collect, process, and compile data into a report. Depending on your level of knowledge, you may also contribute to other tasks within Sustainability Information Management (SIM). There will also be opportunities to work on other projects.

The work involves a combination of independent research and analysis as well as collaboration with various parts of the organization. You will have the opportunity to gain insight into sustainability work within one of Sweden's leading forestry industries.

The role is a summer internship.

Who are we looking for?

To be considered for the role, we see that you have:

-Experience in searching and processing data from various websites

-At least high school education, preferably in sustainability-related subjects (but this is not a requirement)

-Good knowledge of English is essential

-Additional language skills in, for example, German, French, Spanish, Russian, or Chinese are an advantage

We see it as an advantage if you have an interest in sustainability issues and environmental analysis. You should be analytical, meticulous, and comfortable working independently while also collaborating with different functions within the organization.

This is what it’s like to work at Södra

At Södra, you will have the opportunity to develop in your job while contributing to a sustainable forestry that creates value for people and the environment. We place great value on your personal commitment and care about your well-being. For your security, we have collective agreements and good conditions, as well as several benefits that you can benefit from both at work and in your free time.

What do you think, could this be something for you? Then you know what to do. We really look forward to hearing from you!

Be part of building a sustainable society

Södra is one of the country's largest forestry companies and is jointly owned by more than 50,000 family forest owners in southern Sweden. In addition to developing forestry, we strive to always use the forest raw material in the most efficient and climate-smart way. Pulp, timber, textile pulp, and bioproducts are just a few examples. By working together, we have the strength, commitment, and courage needed to build a sustainable society. This is done with our feet on the ground, our ears to the world, and our eyes looking forward.
